Table for Two
Table for Two is the supper club's card room at forkedfelines.art/game. Every feline in the room has booked a table with a date. Turn over a portrait, then find who they are dining with.
It is a game, and only a game. It costs nothing, asks for no wallet, mints nothing, and records nothing outside your own browser.
Getting in
Knock. The doors open onto the dining room, the kitchen draws tonight's felines, and the wall of portraits is dealt face down.
Two ways to be seated
| Seating | What you get |
|---|---|
| Tonight's Seating | Eight tables, the same room for everyone in the world that day. The room is drawn from the calendar date (UTC), so a refresh, a new tab, or a different device shows the same felines in the same places. A new room arrives at midnight UTC. |
| Open Seating | Your own room: 6, 8, or 12 tables from a fresh draw every time, with an optional timed service. The kitchen gives you 75 seconds for 6 tables, 100 for 8, and 170 for 12. |
Playing
- Turn one portrait, then another. A matching pair is seated and stays face up; two strangers turn back over.
- Only two portraits can be on the table at once. Extra presses do nothing until the pair has been compared.
- The room is finished when every table is seated. In timed service, the kitchen closes when the clock runs out.
The tab
| Line | Amount |
|---|---|
| Tables seated | 100 per seated pair |
| Rarity premium | 25, 50, 100, or 200 on top for an Uncommon, Rare, Epic, or Legendary feline |
| Streak gratuity | from the second seat in a row: 25, then 50, 75, and 100 per seat |
| Breakage | 10 per miss |
| Early service bonus | timed service only: 5 per second left on the kitchen clock |
The tab never goes below zero. Your best tab per table (each date of Tonight's Seating, and each Open Seating size) is kept in your browser. Only a full seating counts toward it.
The felines
Every portrait is drawn fresh by the room from ten weighted traits: fur, expression, tail, sides, plate, place setting, glass, table, hat, and accessory. The odds of the exact combination grade it Common, Uncommon, Rare, Epic, or Legendary, and the strip under the ledger tells you what you just seated and its rarest trait.
These are game portraits drawn on the spot. They are not Forked Felines editions, they are not inscribed, and nothing about them can be owned, transferred, or sold. The collection itself is on the wall.
Access
- Every portrait and control is a real button: the room plays with a keyboard, a mouse, or a finger.
- Seats, misses, and the finished room are announced to screen readers, and never only by colour.
- With reduced motion switched on in your system, the doors open at once and the cards turn without the spring.
Privacy, plainly
The room keeps two things in your browser's local storage: your seating choice, and your best tab per table. Nothing is sent anywhere. Clearing site data clears both, and the room plays exactly the same without them.
